I SAY CRUNCHY GRANOLA
Ben
Ethan
Ben and Ethan are my younger siblings. We grew up in western Mass and Arizona.
Food was a big part of how our family interacted with each other. Also, most of the drama in our childhoods happened around the dinner table, the one place where the whole family would be together most week nights while we were kids.
I was interested in doing this project with them because I left home when they were 12 and 8. I know that many dynamics shifter around this time, specifically around cooking, food and family interaction and I was curious to hear their take.
The conversation centers around privilege, class, and the spelt bread sandwiches with almond butter.
We were all at my mothers house after thanksgiving along with Ben's phenomenal girl friend Sarah, and they all kindly agreed to cook a meal and be interviewed.
